Numbword

A word puzzle with arithmetic: letters are worth their alphabet position (A=1 to Z=26), and players must find a real five-letter word whose values add up to the day's target. Guesses show which letters belong to the answer and how far the sum is off. Four- and six-letter variants, hints, practice and an archive exist.
