How the ranking works
Editorial estimate
Every game starts with an estimate of its popularity from public signals: how many other dle directories list it and how much traffic its website gets.
Play clicks
How often people press Play on the game here, counted over the last 30 days.
Star ratings
What players think of the game, one rating per device.
The more people play and rate a game, the more their clicks and stars count and the less the editorial estimate matters. The ranking is recalculated every day.
Stars count through a Bayesian average: each game's ratings are mixed with ten votes at the site-wide average. A handful of votes can't push a game up or down; only many votes can.
Who makes dledex
dledex is made by the maker of Geotrivia. Games we made ourselves are marked “Made by us” and ranked by exactly the same rules as every other game.
